Pandan Cake with Cheese



Nothing special here. This is a cake I made for snack at home. I made the cake using tons of leftover egg whites that have been sitting in the fridge for a while, with buttercream, cheese, dark chocolate ganche, and red cherry.

I am a little familiar with pandan desserts, but I've never heard of pairing pandan cake with grated cheese as a sweet treat. I am learning something new. Is this a normal mix (pandan and cheese) in certain parts of Indonesia? Thank you so much for great photos and baking.

We put cheese on a lot of dessert in Indonesia, but it's now any kind of cheese though. We used Kraft processed cheese with sweeter taste, it is definitely not the same kind of cheese we cook with :)
